Subjects Taught
Family and Consumer Sciences

I earned a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of Montevallo in 2007.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences, with a concentration in Education, also from UM in 2003.

I graduated high school from Ider High School, in DeKalb County in Northeastern Alabama in 1999.

I began teaching in the fall of 2003 at a school called Pittman Middle in Hueytown, Alabama. There I taught middle school Family and Consumer Sciences and had a very active Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) CTSO (Career/Tech Student Organization).

The next year, I was blessed with a job in Prattville, Alabama at the Autauga County Technology Center, where I worked for eight years. There, I taught Housing and Design, and Food and Nutrition.

When I had my first child, Olivia, in 2012, I took six years off from teaching to raise her and my son, Owen.

Then, in September of 2018, I was offered my old job back in Autauga County! I was back to teaching Family and Consumer Sciences, Food and Nutrition, and had an adventure in teaching Sports Nutrition!

Finally, September of 2019 found me here at Clanton Middle School. I am excited to be back teaching middle school students after all these years!!! :)
