Club Shirts went home Nov. 2nd along with permission forms for the field trip.  Fieldtrip forms are due by THURSDAY, Nov. 9th to Mr. Meank.  NO LATE FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED. You must be current on dues, participated in the fundraiser and have a permission form signed to attend the fieldtrip on December 5th to the Shakespeare Festival.  Also, No Blue Jeans or shorts will be worn on the fieldtrip.  Make plans now.


Beta Cookie Dough Fundraiser Oct. 5th -20th.  All orders and monies are due by Friday, Oct. 20th to Mrs. Potts.  Checks should be made to Clanton Middle School.  Extra forms can be picked up in Room 310.

Each Beta must participate to be eligible for fieldtrips.

Returning members- Annual dues of $30 to cover your Beta t-shirt and fieldtrips are due by Friday September 22nd to Mr. Meank.

Posted 11/15:   Due to a shipping issue, our Cookie Dough orders will be NOT be delivered before Thanksgiving.  Our new date of delivery is Tuesday, December 6th.  We apologize for ALL the inconveniences.  Thank you for making our Fundraiser a success as we come upon our biggest project of the year, our Chirstmas Angels.

November Beta Meeting Thursday, Nov. 3rd in the lunchroom during 8th period.  Fieldtrip permission forms will be given out. 

To attend the trip you must be:

1. in good standing (not on probaion or a behavior issue),

2. paid your annual dues,

3. participated in the cookie dough fundraiser,and

4. have a COMPLETED PERMISSION form turned in by Tuesday, November 15th.

Beta's will have club yearbook pictures on Thursday, Oct. 13th.  Please wear your grey Beta shirt.

New Member Induction: Monday, Oct. 17th at 6:00pm  Nice dress, no blue jeans.  Practice will be Friday Oct. 14th during 8th period.

 

Alabama Shakespeare Festival Fieldtrip: Wednesday, November 30th.  Nice dress, No blue jeans.  Must be current on dues, participate in fundraiser, and have a signed permission form to be eligible.  Permission forms will go home at the November meeting.

First Beta Meeting will be 8th period on Friday, September 2nd.

All goodstanding members and probatinary members will receive information about due payment at this meeting.

7th grade members will meet in the lunchroom during 4th period on Thursday, May 5th.  The purpose of this meeting is to elect officers, submit and discuss t-shirt designs, and to prepare for 2016-17 school year.

Field trip information given out for April 20th to see a play at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.  Permission slips due by Friday March 25th. 

 In March we will be raising money by selling Pin Wheels to create a garden of pin wheels to display in front of the school during Child Abuse Awareness Month of April. Our goal is 113 pin wheels one for each of the students helped in 2015 by Butterfly Bridge.

·                                       Club Projects  Food & Supplies for the Humane Society, NOW (Next Friday Feb 12th is last day).   We will encourage/participate in providing food, cleaning supplies, and other needs for the local animal shelter.  This will be our Beta week community service.

 Collecting can pop-tops for Ronald McDonald House     School goal = 80 pounds!!!!!!!

We will be collecting supplies for the Humane Society Janurary 19th -29th.  Please bring items such as pet  food/supplies, cleaning supplies, paper goods, and old newspapers.

Next meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 4th in the lunchroom during 4th period.

Beta Club Meeting Thursday, Dec. 3rd during 4th period in the lunchroom.

Christmas angel sign ups will begin then.  All NEW, UNWRAPPED items are due by Friday, December 12th. 

Beta Christmas Party will be Monday, December 14th after school until 3:30pm. Have a ride home.

Grades will be checked at the end of this nine weeks for eligbility. You must have an overall 85 average in Math, ELA, History, and Science.

 Posted 8/28 Returning members do not need to apply again.  $30 Dues from returning members are due by  Tuesday, September 15th.  This will cover your t-shirt and fieldtrip lunch/ticket expenses. Our goal is to keep from asking for money throughout the year.  The cookie dough fundraiser is still required and will begin at the end of September.
